Features
HyperSmooth 6.0
As a minor update to the previous HyperSmooth 5.0 with AutoBoost and Horizon Lock features, the system has been simplified to offer three shake reduction levels: On, Off, and AutoBoost.
Furthermore, it is now available for all resolutions and frame rates in 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios, making it a "set-it-and-forget-it" stabilization solution.
Industry-Leading 177-Degree Field of View
While GoPro is known for its wide-angle image capture, the GoPro HERO12 series takes it a step further with an industry-leading 177-degree field of view. Compared to the previous HERO11 model's 155-degree FOV, this represents a significant increase of 22 degrees.
Although a 22-degree increase might seem modest, it translates to considerably wider footage when actually filming.
Bluetooth Audio Compatibility for Wireless Voice Control
In scenarios where hands-free operation is necessary, GoPro offers voice control commands. With the GoPro HERO12's Bluetooth audio compatibility, wireless headphones and similar devices can now be used for GoPro Voice Control Commands.
This enables wireless control of GoPro cameras from a distance, allowing for more versatile shooting setups.
Wireless Synchronization of Multiple HERO12 Cameras via Timecode
A useful feature for professional users employing multiple GoPro cameras is timecode synchronization. This functionality facilitates shooting activities from different angles using multiple GoPro cameras. During video editing, managing multiple video sources with frame-accurate synchronization via timecode becomes feasible.
While this feature has been a standard offering in professional-grade cameras for over decades, its integration into consumer-grade GoPro cameras represents a significant advancement, especially for professional users.
