If your main goal is to "shoot now and enjoy later," the Quik app’s stabilization is sufficient. However, if you plan to share or upload your footage afterward, the extra step of applying stabilization could be a downside.

In terms of size and weight, the HERO (2024) is significantly smaller and lighter, making it much more portable and "handy."

Feature-wise, the HERO (2024) lacks a front display, which is another significant difference. For those using a chest mount for filming, the absence of a front display could be inconvenient, so keep that in mind.

Another point worth noting is that the HERO (2024) supports microSD cards up to 1TB, double the 512GB capacity of the HERO10 Black.

When it comes to battery performance, the HERO (2024) has a built-in battery, which means you’ll need an external power source, like a mobile battery, for extended shoots. In contrast, the HERO10 Black has a swappable battery, allowing you to continue shooting uninterrupted by simply swapping batteries.
